Kylian Mbappe once again showed his ability to perform on the big stage by scoring two goals to help Paris Saint-Germain advance to the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals with a 2-1 win over Real Sociedad.
The French forward was the star of the first leg at the Parc des Princes, and his two goals in this match sealed the deal, with PSG winning 4-1 on aggregate.
Mbappe was impressive from the start, using his speed to create an early chance for Bradley Barcola and then scoring a fantastic solo goal in the 15th minute to quiet the crowd at the Reale Arena in San Sebastian.
The 25-year-old striker, who seems likely to transfer to Real Madrid in the summer, scored a second goal at 56 minutes by running down the left side and beating Alex Remiro with a clever near-post shot.
Despite Real Sociedad showing some fight after the game was already decided, they managed to score one goal through Mikel Merino.
However, PSG held strong with a great overall performance and advanced to the quarter-finals for the first time since 2021.
