Massive Shutdown: NLC And TUC Announce Nationwide Strike

Published:

FCT, Abuja – The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) have announced a nationwide strike.

The NLC has instructed its members to begin the strike in response to the attack on its president, Joe Ajaero.

The organized labor has also instructed its affiliated groups to carry out the decisions made by the National Executive Council.

TUC President, Festus Osifo, revealed this information during a press conference on Monday.

Osifo vowed that the strike would continue until “government at all levels wake up to their responsibility.”

Last week, the Organized Labour announced a nationwide strike that would begin on Tuesday, November 14, 2023, and continue indefinitely.
