Manchester City is expected to face fierce competition from other Premier League rivals as they also join the race to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace.

Due to a hamstring injury, Olise missed the first three months of this season; however, since returning in November, the 22-year-old has been making up ground. With five goals in nine games at Selhurst Park, the winger has established himself as one of Roy Hodgson‘s main performers.

Not surprisingly, some of the big teams in the league are interested in the player. Football Insider claims that City, Liverpool, and Arsenal have all dispatched scouts on a regular basis to observe the forward in action.

Also, according to Football Insider, there are reports on the connections between Saudi Arabia and Kevin De Bruyne elsewhere. The Saudi Pro League clubs are reportedly unwilling to pursue their interest in the Belgian playmaker, who was yesterday linked to a move to the Middle East.

Saudi teams are reportedly not prepared to move during the January transfer window. The City deal with De Bruyne is set to end in 2025, and Olise might be a long-term replacement if the Belgian decides to leave.

When City plays Huddersfield in the FA Cup on Sunday, the Belgium international might be playing for the first time since the season’s opening game.
