Manchester United’s duo of Harry Maguire and Erik Ten Hag have won the Premier League’s Player and Manager of the Month award after three wins and three clean sheets in the month of November.
Maguire saw action in all three of the team’s league games during the month, helping them to three wins without giving up a goal.
The honour completes a remarkable comeback for the 30-year-old, who, after losing the captaincy and appearing certain to leave Old Trafford in the summer, has forced his way back into Erik Ten Hag’s starting lineup.
In the voting, the England international defeated opponents including Jeremy Doku of Manchester City, Anthony Gordon of Newcastle United, Raheem Sterling of Chelsea, Marcus Tavernier of Bournemouth, and Thomas Kaminski of Luton Town.
For Ten Hag, fans votes and expert panellists’ votes saw him emerge victorious from a four-person shortlist that also included Rob Edwards (Luton Town), Eddie Howe (Newcastle United), and Andoni Iraola (AFC Bournemouth).
