Jayden Danns scored twice to help a young Liverpool team secure a spot in the FA Cup quarter-finals against Manchester United.

They won 3-0 against Southampton at Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp’s team, who are still competing for four trophies in his final season as manager, will now face the Red Devils in the next round.

Southampton had a strong start and tested Caoimhin Kelleher multiple times, but they couldn’t finish their chances. Lewis Koumas scored on his first start for Liverpool with a deflected effort just before half-time.

The addition of Danns in the second half was the key to increasing Liverpool’s lead. The 18-year-old scored a beautifully chipped finish just 11 minutes after coming on.

He sealed the game two minutes before the end by scoring after Conor Bradley’s shot was saved, securing Liverpool’s fifth consecutive win.

Klopp’s team is aiming to continue their success after winning the Carabao Cup on Sunday, where the German coach won his eighth trophy with the Merseyside club.
