Chris Agidy, a lawyer who worked as a Senior Legislative Aide for Senator Ned Nwoko from Delta North, was kidnapped by bandits in 2023 and has been tragically killed.

The Police Public Relations Officer for the Federal Capital Territory, SP Josephine Adeh, confirmed this sad news to DAILY POST on Tuesday.

In November 2023, a group of gunmen kidnapped at least 19 people from their homes in the Galadimawa area of the nation’s capital.

Initially, it was reported that 12 of the kidnapped individuals had been killed.

However, the identities of the deceased were not clear as the lawmaker and security forces worked tirelessly to rescue the lawyer.

On Tuesday, the FCT PPRO confirmed that the lawmaker’s aide was killed by one of the notorious kidnappers, Samaila Wakili, who has been causing terror in the capital city.

Wakili was apprehended on February 24 in the Sardauna Forest in the Toto area of Nasarawa State by the police.

The FCT PPRO said the suspect, upon his arrest, “led police operatives to where the remains of Barr. Chris Agidy is.”

She noted that “the remains was recovered and deposited in Gwagwalada General Hospital.”
