Surprising as it seems, a rising artist known as Tbaddo has completed a remarkable 29-day journey on foot from Delta to Lagos State to meet with Olamide, the head of the YBNL music label.

The young musician, originally from Ughelli, embarked on his journey from Delta State on January 12th with the sole purpose of meeting his favourite rapper, Olamide Adedeji, in Lagos.

At 27 years old, Tbaddo’s motivation for undertaking this arduous trek was driven by his aspiration to achieve success in the entertainment industry, believing that encountering Olamide would be the key to his breakthrough.

Tbaddo noted, “I see that people in Lagos do not value what they have. Look, Olamide is a spiritually bad man; the problem is he only helps Yoruba people if he comes to music. Come close to Olamide very well and look at his eyes tell me what you see. Olamide is the only person that can blow me up in the music industry. If Olamide jumps into your song just forget about promotion you did blow be that.”

Tbaddo is convinced that having Olamide feature on his unreleased track titled “GuoGuo” would propel him to stardom, given his confidence in his musical talent. He expressed his conviction, stating that Olamide’s influence and collaboration would guarantee instant success, as the rapper holds significant sway in the industry.

Despite facing financial constraints, Tbaddo managed to sustain himself during the journey, relying on prudent budgeting and replenishing his energy with bottled drinks. However, he admits to experiencing health issues due to inadequate shelter along the way.

With only a sum of money left upon reaching Lagos, Tbaddo’s hopes rest entirely on Olamide’s willingness to fulfil his request. He acknowledges the potential disappointment but remains steadfast in his belief that Olamide’s support could change his life.

“I only had 4500 with me when I left for the journey. Right now, I only have 700 with me here in Lagos. Hmmm, I have nothing to do. I better die than face the laughter of the world. Because right now people’s eyes are on me. I know Olamide will not like to tone me down. But if he does, we leave the rest for God,” Tbaddo reiterated
