Reports have surfaced of an employee of Jos Electricity Distribution Company (JEDC) who was fatally electrocuted while working on repairs in the Abbatoir area of Jos South Local Government Council in Plateau State.

The deceased, known as Friday, was electrocuted when power was suddenly restored to the high-tension pole he was working on in the Abbatoir community.

The community is in shock and mourning due to this unfortunate event.

A resident mentioned that Friday was dedicated to his work and always responded promptly to customer calls for faults in his assigned area.

Despite attempts to reach the JEDC’s Public Relations Officer, Dr. Elijah Adakole, there has been no response so far.
