Popular Nigerian singer Iyanya has come out to share his perspective on infidelity, suggesting that, based on his experiences, women are more prone to cheating in relationships.

Appearing as a guest on the Doyin’s Corner podcast hosted by reality star Doyinsola Anuoluwapo David, Iyanya revealed that a considerable number of his male friends are single because they suffered deep emotional wounds from being betrayed by their girlfriends.

When asked by the host, Doyin, about who cheats more between men and women, Iyanya confidently asserted, “Women!” He pointed to a popular American rap song as a cultural reference, supporting the notion that female infidelity is widely acknowledged.

Iyanya explained that a significant portion of his male friends remain single, reluctant to enter into new relationships due to the profound pain inflicted by unfaithful partners in the past. Personally, he emphasised his dedication to fidelity when deeply in love, describing himself as “focused.”

Furthermore, Iyanya admitted that forgiving a partner who has cheated on him is a challenging prospect for him. His insights into relationships and infidelity sparked a candid discussion during the podcast episode.
