ISWAP Kill Boko Haram Commander In Sambisa

Published:

Members of the Islamic State West African Province, ISWAP, are said to have assassinated Ali Gana Alhaji Ali, a Boko Haram commander in charge of the Sambisa and Gwoza enclaves, on Gwoza Hill in Borno State’s Gwoza Local Government Area.

According to sources, Ali, one of the deadliest terrorist leaders in the Northeast, was attacked by ISWAP members on Sunday.

According to a security source, Ali murdered multiple people in Sambisa and other regions of Borno State before his demise on Sunday.

“He was the deputy of the late Ali Ngulde, and apart from Shekau, nobody killed human beings like him from Sambisa forest and Bayan Dutsen Gwoza.

“He was a crude killer. His foot terrorists in Gwoza areas constantly instil fear in communities, farmers and commuters along Pulka, Bankin, Bama and Gwoza Mubi routes.

“They take no prisoners, and people are slaughtered in their farms on a weekly basis. Gwoza people will surely celebrate his demise,” the source said.

Recall that Abubakar Shekau, a feared Boko Haram leader, was also killed in a brutal clash with ISWAP members in May 2021.
