Ayodele Fayose, the former Governor of Ekiti State, mentioned in an interview on Channels Television’s Sunday Politics that President Bola Tinubu took over a struggling economy from the previous administration led by President Muhammadu Buhari.

Fayose commended Tinubu’s efforts to address Nigeria’s socio-economic issues, acknowledging the difficult situation he inherited.

Fayose criticized Buhari for “regressing Nigeria” and called on President Tinubu to take further action to address the country’s problems.

He said, “Considering what Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the President of Nigeria, inherited and our diversity, put all these together, the gentleman is trying.

“My advise to the President is: stay focus, remember that you gave your word to Nigerians to make this country better than you met it. Please stay focus. Don’t be distracted.”
