The Chairman of the Akwanga Local Government Area, Safiyanu Isa Andaha, was kidnapped by gunmen on the night of January 1st.
The event happened at Ningo village on the Andaha-Akwanga Road, when both the Chairman and a local person were kidnapped.
Ramhan Nansel, the state Police Public Relations Officer, verified the kidnapping. He informed the public that security forces, including police and other agencies, were quickly mobilized to trace down the abductors and ensure the victims’ release.
