Actress and former Disney Channel star Bridgit Mendler announced that she will be taking on the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Northwoodspace.
Mendler revealed this news on her social media account on Monday, emphasizing the company’s mission to establish a “data highway between earth and space.” She expressed enthusiasm for the project, stating that they are creating shared ground infrastructure from scratch to enhance access to space.
Meanwhile, she shared that Northwoodspace has secured $6.3 million in funding.
In a surprising twist, Mendler also shared personal news with her fans, revealing that she is now a mother to a 4-year-old boy. She disclosed that she began fostering in 2021 and officially adopted her son near Christmas of 2022.
Mendler expressed gratitude for the experience of parenthood, describing it as the greatest gift and most defining experience.
While this is the first time Mendler has publicly shared about motherhood, she previously mentioned her passion for space law during her time at the Federal Communications Commission’s Space Bureau.
