Cristiano Ronaldo is thrilled to join his fellow national team players as Portugal prepares for their last two Euro 2024 qualifiers.
The Selecao have already secured their spot in next summer’s tournament in Germany, having won all eight of their qualifying matches so far, scoring 32 goals and conceding only two.
Ronaldo, who has been leading by example, expressed his happiness after joining the Portugal camp under Roberto Martinez.
He took to Instagram to share his joy, posting pictures of himself during a training session with a caption that expressed his excitement.
He wrote: “Sentimento de alegria sempre que regresso à nossa seleção! 🇵🇹❤️ #vesteabandeira (Feeling of joy every time I return to our team! 🇵🇹❤️)”.
The Al-Nassr forward has already scored nine goals in the qualifying campaign from seven matches and is eager to increase his tally of 127 international goals in the upcoming fixtures.
Ronaldo will face Liechtenstein on Thursday evening at Rheinpark Stadion and then return home to host Iceland at Estadio Jose Alvalade for the final match of the Euro 2024 qualifying campaign on Sunday.
