Endrick was a key offensive player for Palmeiras and demonstrated his value on the last day of the Brazilian championship, helping the team win its second straight Brasileirao.

Midway through the first half, the youthful striker gave Verdão a hand in the trophy and broke Neymar’s record as the 17-year-old with the most goals in a single season, with 11 goals against the Al Hilal forward’s 10. The record is still held by Ronaldo Nazário, who was present in the stands and scored twelve.

Endrick notched his fifth goal in his previous seven games in what might be Abel Ferreira’s final game behind the Palmeiras bench. He has been scoring goals like crazy since his impressive performance against Botafogo, and the Portuguese coach’s assurance will be key in bringing out the best in Real Madrid’s upcoming star.

The Brazilian, who has over 50 games under his belt at Palmeiras and was recently called up to the Brazil national team, had two nearly identical opportunities before making an impact on the scoreboard, but both were denied by Cruzeiro’s excellent goalkeeper. On his third attempt at goal, though, he made no mistakes. Endrick was left alone in front of Rafael Cabral after Lucas Silva, a Real Madrid player from 2015 to 2019, failed to control the ball. He prevented the custodian from making save number three by slipping past him.

For the second year in a row, Endrick and Palmeiras were crowned the Brazilian champions. The forward’s next major tests won’t occur until the end of January 2024, when he takes on Sao Paulo in the Brazilian Super Cup final and begins the Paulista Tournament. After all the preparations, Endrick will finally join Real Madrid in the summer of 2024.
