Popular Nigerian singer Davido has agreed to settle a breach of contract lawsuit filed against him by the former President of the Nigerian Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick-led Brownhill Investment Company Limited, at the High Court of Delta State, Effurun.

The singer has agreed to resolve the dispute outside of court.

As part of the agreement in the N2 billion lawsuit, Davido has also agreed to pay N30 million to the claimant to cover part of their outstanding legal fees within seven days of finalizing the settlement terms.

The claimant, represented by lawyer Kelechi Onwuegbuchulem in suit EHC/183/2023, requested N2 billion in general damages from Davido.

Additionally, the claimant asked for N150 million for legal and professional fees, along with an extra N30 million for the cost of filing the lawsuit.

The defendants in the lawsuit are David Adeleke, also known as “Davido,” and his music label, Davido Music Worldwide Limited.

After a thorough discussion and negotiations, the parties have agreed to perform at the “Warri Again Concert” on October 4, 2024, in order to resolve the matter amicably.

As part of the agreement, the $94,500 that the claimant had already paid to the defendants will be considered for the performance at the event.
