Ayodeji Balogun Popularly known as Wizkid, is breaking his silence in 2023 with the highly anticipated release of the second volume of his ‘Soundman EP.’

After a period of relative quiet, the announcement sent shockwaves across music news outlets on December 19, 2023.

While some sceptics initially viewed it as a potential end-of-year prank, fellow megastar Davido’s tweet solidified the news, confirming that Wizkid’s new material is set to drop on Friday, December 22, 2023.

This revelation comes on the heels of a rare public appearance of both stars at the “Even In The Day Party” in Lagos, reinforcing the notion that any past tensions between them have dissipated.

Notably, Wizkid had previously shared news about the release of Davido’s 2023 album, ‘Timeless,’ on Twitter, and Davido reciprocated with condolences when Wizkid faced the loss of his mother. Earlier in the year, Wizkid hinted at a joint tour with Davido in 2024.

With their recent public camaraderie and occasional friendly exchanges on social media, both megastars are actively dispelling any notions of animosity. With Davido’s official announcement, fans are now eagerly counting down to the imminent release of Wizkid’s ‘Soundman Vol. 2.’
