Connor Gallagher led a late comeback for Chelsea, securing a 3-1 victory against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.

In the first half, Chelsea had difficulty breaking down Palace’s well-organized defense, as Roy Hodgson’s team primarily focused on counter-attacks, which caused numerous issues for Chelsea.

Palace took the lead with a stunning long-range goal from Jefferson Lerma. However, after a halftime delay to fix the referee’s technical equipment, Chelsea quickly equalized, with an unmarked Gallagher finishing well in the box.

And the visitors, who had significantly improved their performance, secured a victory in the match. They took advantage of a rare opportunity when Palace’s defense was stretched too thin. Cole Palmer found Gallagher on the edge of the box, who then scored his second goal.

As the Palace fans left the stadium in disappointment, Chelsea added insult to injury by scoring another goal through Enzo Fernandez during a late counterattack.

This win propels Chelsea into the top half of the Premier League standings, while Palace remains in 15th place, with a five-point cushion above the relegation zone.
