Combined Security Team Foil Bandits Attack, Rescue 10 Abducted Victims In Katsina

The Katsina State Police Command, working together with the military, successfully rescued ten individuals who had been kidnapped between Kukar Babangida and Yan Gayya Feeder Road in the state.

This incident occurred on Sunday, February 25, 2024, around 10:40 a.m.

A joint patrol team was conducting a routine patrol along the feeder road when they were ambushed by a group of suspected bandits armed with dangerous weapons like AK-47 rifles.

A statement released by the Katsina Police Command spokesperson, Abubakar Aliyu, on Tuesday explained that the patrol team quickly responded to the attack, engaging in a firefight and managing to rescue the ten kidnapped victims.

The State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Musa, commended the officers for their exceptional bravery. He urged the people of the state to keep supporting the command and other security agencies by providing timely information to combat crime effectively.

He also reiterated the command’s dedication to making Katsina State a safer place.
