The spiritual leader and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, popularly known as Baba Aladura, has passed away.
He died on Sunday morning at around 10:00 am at the age of 103 in his home in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara state.
The news of his death was announced by the church’s Secretary-General, Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun.
Odetundun shared that Prophet Abidoye had his breakfast and was getting ready for service when he decided to take a rest.
A statement by Odetundun said: “He passed on peacefully, thereafter.”
The burial details for the spiritual leader will be announced at a later time, according to his statement.
Known as Baba Aladura, he was born on June 26 in Omu Aran, Irepodun Local Government of Kwara State.
His father, Odetundun Abegunde, was the Oba Olomu of Omu Aran, which was part of the Ilorin Province back then.
