The Ekiti State chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotosho, has passed away.

Omotosho died early on Wednesday after a short illness.

Sources close to him revealed that the politician, who was born in Imesi-Ekiti, was actively involved in several political meetings on Monday.

He started feeling unwell on Tuesday and was quickly taken to a government hospital in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital, where he later passed away.

It is worth noting that Omotosho was kidnapped in July 2023 and was released after five days.
