The Brazilian high court has decided that former Manchester City player Robinho must go to prison in Brazil for nine years.

This is because he was found guilty of assaulting a woman in a Milan nightclub in 2013, along with five others.

Despite denying any wrongdoing, Robinho has lost two appeals trying to clear his name.

There was a chance he wouldn’t have to serve his sentence since Brazil doesn’t extradite its citizens, and he lives there.

However, the judges on Brazil’s Superior Court of Justice voted 9-2 to uphold the conviction, meaning he will now serve his sentence in Brazil.

Robinho still has the option to appeal this decision to Brazil’s Supreme Court.
