The body of the well-known Nollywood actor, John Okafor, also known as Mr Ibu, has been brought to Enugu State.

It arrived on Tuesday and was accompanied by his family members, including his second son.

Allub Times reports that the experienced actor passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 62 on Saturday at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after a long illness that resulted in the amputation of one of his legs.

He was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels.

His family had asked for financial assistance from Nigerians, saying the actor “had constant clotting of the blood in his leg [diseased blood vessels] and other health challenges posing a risk to his life, therefore the need for the amputation.”
