Bendel Insurance have stated that the absence of Sunday Anyanwu and Divine Nwachukwu played a part in their loss to Akwa United.

Bendel Insurance was defeated 3-1 by Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Wednesday.
Nwachukwu, a midfielder, and Anyanwu, a defender, were unable to play in the match due to injuries.
Both players have been key performers for Bendel Insurance throughout the season.
“Not the result we desired, but will surely bounce back as we go back home to prepare for Doma United,” the club stated.
“We greatly missed the services of our defence Marshall Sunday Anyanwu and midfield super star Divine. Adaaa… Bendel.”
After a disappointing defeat, Bendel Insurance now sits in ninth place on the NPFL table.
