Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala finished 20th in the 2023 Women’s Ballon d’Or.

Oshoala’s Barcelona colleague, Aitana Bonmati, won the honor.

The Nigerian striker scored 21 goals in Spain’s Iberdola and five more in the UEFA Women’s Champions League despite her injury woes last season.

Oshoala also won the Spanish and Champions League titles with Barcelona.

She made four appearances for Nigeria at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, scoring once.

Several of her Barcelona teammates cracked the top 20, including Mapi Leon, Patri Guijaro, Fridolina Rolfo, and Salma Paralluelo.
