Air Peace announced the commencement of its Lagos-London flight services on Saturday.

This comes a month after the airline announced its plans to begin direct flights to London on March 30 at a prelaunch forum in February.

In November, Air Peace’s Chairman and CEO, Allen Onyema, announced that the airline had obtained the necessary permits to operate flights to Europe and the UK.

Taking to its official X handle on Saturday, the airline wrote, “London service has commenced, and we’re delighted to have achieved yet another feat in our drive to continually provide peaceful connectivity across cities.

“A big thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of this launch.”

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, and the Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anita, are among those present at the first flight to London.
