President Bola Tinubu has expressed his sorrow regarding the unfortunate demise of Herbert Wigwe, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Access Holdings Plc.

Allub Times reports that there were concerns about Wigwe’s well-being after a helicopter carrying him and five others crashed on Friday night near the California-Nevada border in the US.

It has been revealed that, in addition to Wigwe, his wife, his son, and three other individuals were tragically lost in the accident.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Ajuri Ngelale, President Tinubu conveyed his deep shock and sadness upon learning about the passing of Wigwe, a distinguished banker and entrepreneur.

The President also expressed his condolences for the former Group Chairman of the Nigerian Exchange Group Plc, Abimbola Ogunbanjo, as well as the members of the Wigwe family.

President Tinubu deeply mourned the loss of these exceptional Nigerian business leaders and characterized their passing as an “overwhelming tragedy that is shocking beyond comprehension.”

The President offered his sympathies to the Wigwe and Ogunbanjo families, the business community, and all those affected by this distressing event.

President Tinubu prayed for the peaceful rest of the departed souls and beseeched God to bring comfort to the countless Nigerians who are grieving and to the families of those who have passed during this profoundly painful time.
