Nigerian superstar artist Burna Boy has received the Best International Act award at the Black Entertainment Television Awards (BET) 2023.

Burna defeated fellow countryman Ayra Starr, Aya Nakamura, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola, and Uncle Waffles to win the category.

The Nigerian musician, who has had an incrediable previous few years, was not present at the presentation, but his mother Bose Ogulu, who also serves as his manager, accepted the award on his behalf.

Love Damini, his 2022 album, was a worldwide triumph. In 2019 and 2021, he won a BET Award in the same category.
