Pep Guardiola praised Manchester City’s best-ever performance before telling his players to aim for the treble.
Manchester City will face Inter Milan in the Champions League final on June 10 after defeating Real Madrid 4-0.
However, they are now only three wins away from completing a historic triple in the Premier League, FA Cup, and Europe. When asked where this victory ranked among City’s best, he replied, “It’s the highest, considering the opponent.”
“I had the feeling these last days that we had a mix of calm and the tension to play this type of game. We are there now and the players can think about it (the treble), visualise it.
“We are three games away. One in each competition. We can do it. We need to win one more game in the Premier League, then we have our neighbours in the cup and a Champions League final against an Italian side.
“The pleasure of being there and playing against Inter Milan is incalculable and we are going to enjoy the occasion.” Jack Grealish said he felt City were “unstoppable” after dismantling the La Liga giants for a 5-1 aggregate win.
“We just feel unstoppable, honestly,” said Grealish. “I don’t know what it is, whether it’s the fans or the pitch, but playing here we just feel nobody can beat us.” But Guardiola cautioned against the feeling, insisting it could bite them in the final few games.
He said: “I hate arrogance in sort, when you believe you are something that you are not. Every team is stoppable. It’s nice the players feel it, but you have to be calm. But yes, we can beat everyone.”

Carlo Ancelotti dismissed speculation regarding his future at the Bernabeu, acknowledging that City were simply beaten by a better team on the night. “No one doubts me. The president has been clear on this two weeks ago. There are no doubts about my staying on,” he said.
“The game didn’t go to plan but I don’t think we have to make a drama out of it. We have played well but we just couldn’t get through to another final. Man City deserved to win tonight because they play better than us and they deserve to reach the final and fight in the final.”
