Nollywood actress Charity Nnaji has lent her voice to the conversation about the value of money in a marriage or relationship.
The actress added in an interview with Punch Saturday Beats that finding a partner who is financially secure is one of her top priorities.
She claimed that when choosing a suitor, money always comes before love because doing so could lead to her becoming resentful of her relationship.
The actress continued by saying that if a man is filthy rich; she doesn’t mind marrying him since she will eventually fall in love with him.
“Money is my major priority. Even if I don’t love the person and he has money, I would start loving the person with time. However, if the person does not have money, I would start hating the person with time. The love will fade,” she said.
Recently, Charity Nnaji expressed her thoughts on how most Nigerian men feel threatened when their spouses are wealthier than they are.
According to the movie star, “African mentality” in men makes them feel their wives are intimidating them when the wives are richer than them.
In her words;
“Sometimes, it’s usually a very big threat to an average African man, for his wife to be richer than him. Men, you must learn to accept this fact.
