The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council’s (APC-PCC) Director of Diaspora, Ade Omole, has guaranteed members and Nigerians that the party will prevail in the Presidential Election Tribunal.

He delivered the promise at a luncheon hosted by the directorate to honor its members and give thanks to God for the party’s victory in the presidential election on February 25.

The Peoples Democratic Party and the Labour Party are currently contesting the results of the election in court, claiming that electoral fraud occurred.

Sen. Bola Tinubu, the APC candidate in the race, has already been proclaimed the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC.

“No matter what people say, no matter what the opposition is saying, I know we have won the election on ground. If they like, let them go to court because it is their right to do so.

“We will meet them in court and we will win again in court. We won on social media and we will win in court.

“We can match them any day, anytime. Nigerians voted for our candidate, now President-elect, Sen. Bola Tinubu, and he will lead this country as ordained.

“It has happened and we are going forward; we are not moving backwards,” Mr Omole said, adding that Tinubu was a man of action.

He claimed that the reason he named his manifesto an action plan was because, unlike the other candidates, he was ready to act even while others talked about their manifestos.

He said Tinubu will get started straight away after being sworn in as the nation’s next president on May 29 because he already had plans to act from the start.

“He will ensure the success of the country in all ramifications once he is sworn in, and we all will be running with him in the right direction to make Nigeria great and better for all,” Mr. Omole said.

He added that Tinubu was a man of character and expertise who was qualified to lead the nation as president and that he would reward all devoted and faithful party members.

As a former two-term governor of Lagos State, Mr. Omole claimed that Mr. Tinubu had demonstrated his ability to lead the nation by virtue of his prior experience. His accomplishments were clear for all to see.

He continued by noting that the party’s directors had worked extremely hard over the previous few months to secure the party’s electoral triumph and that its leaders had done a good job of leading.

Although there were many progressives present, he clarified that the dinner was intended to honor them and celebrate with the Abuja community.

“Again, there is this allegation about the APC not rewarding and appreciating loyal and dedicated members. I want to assure that we are changing that narrative from this directorate.

“That is why we are giving a few of us that worked beyond the call of duty to do more a letter of appreciation in public in collaboration with the APC PCC,” Omole said.

At the ceremony, APC National Women Leader Zainab Ibrahim expressed hope that after Tinubu’s first term, people would be clamoring for him to run for a second term because of all he would have accomplished for the nation.

She thanked Omole for his dedication and perseverance and noted that the APC PCC Diaspora Directorate, under his direction, had worked hard and consistently to ensure the party’s growth and success.

She pointed out that despite all attempts to defeat Tinubu, even before the party primary, divinity allowed him to win and become the next president.

She praised Tinubu and the vice president-elect, Sen. Kashim Shettima, as outstanding mentors and said that God had put them together for the nation at this time to bring the people the progress of the twenty-fourth century.

“With Tinubu, Nigerians had made the right choice, but I want to urge us to continue praying for him non-stop, same way we pray for ourselves and our children.

“We should always put our leaders in prayers because it is not easy, but since it is a divine mandate, we trust God.

“We should continue praying to God to give them more wisdom, ability, good health and better understanding of our people and the country so they can rule beyond our expectations.

“Forward ever, we have won this mandate in a free, fair and credible election and I am sure that Tinubu will do better as a president,” the APC National Woman Leader said.

The giving of gratitude letters to deserving members was said to be the event’s high point, which was attended by leaders of the APC in the Diaspora, according to NAN.

In 2022, the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, named Mr. Omole as one of Nigeria’s Diaspora Icons.
