Gunshots were heard at the Abuja home of former Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello, on Wednesday after Governor Usman Ododo helped him leave the building.

Earlier, officials from the EFCC had tried to arrest Bello at his home. Bello asked President Bola Tinubu to intervene and stop the invasion.

Security forces, including the Police and DSS, tried to arrest Bello but failed. They were planning to use force when Ododo arrived and drove Bello away.

As Ododo left, it was reported that Bello was in his car, leading security forces to start shooting into the air.
