Ghana’s Black Princesses beat Nigeria’s Falconets by a score of 2-1 after 120 minutes of play at Cape Coast Stadium in the Under-20 women‘s football final at the African Games on Thursday night.
Nigeria scored first in the first half thanks to Loveth Edeh, but Tracy Twum equalized for Ghana in the second half.
After 90 minutes, the score was tied at 1-1 as neither team could score.
In extra time, Mukarama Abdullai scored for Ghana in the first half, giving them a 2-1 lead.
Nigeria tried to come back in the second half of extra time but couldn’t score, leading to Ghana winning the gold in the women’s football final.
