After spending approximately 10 days in a kidnappers’ hideout, the Kwara State Police Command successfully rescued Mr. PengChao Zhang, a Chinese national, from his captors in a forest within the state.

Zhang, who is also known as Williams Kaka among his business contacts, was saved on Tuesday by police officers following an extensive search and investigation conducted by the Police Tactical team and local Vigilante group in the forest.

Reports indicate that Zhang was taken by a group of six armed men from the Cherish Guest House in Eyenkorin, located on the outskirts of Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State.

The Chinese national had been staying at the guest house for more than two months, conducting business activities, before the unfortunate incident took place.
