Actor Yul Edochie has stated that he is not legally married to his second wife, Judy Austin.
He made this statement in response to a lawsuit filed against him by his ex-wife, May Edochie.
May Edochie accused Yul of adultery and initiated divorce proceedings.
Yul informed the court that his relationship with Judy Austin was solely for creating skits and not a formal marriage.
He clarified that there is no official marriage between them.
According to a report by Premium Times, May‘s legal team, led by Emeka Ugwuonye of Due Process Advocates, stated that the court session scheduled for March 5th at the FCT High Court in Abuja did not proceed due to unexpected circumstances, which Yul and Judy took credit for.
Ugwuonye said Yul wrote in his petition, “That since the news of the birth of Star in June 2021, Gistlover, as a negative blog that thrives in fake and manipulated information for financial gains, has been negatively exploiting every movie or skit featuring me and Judy and generating social media traffic for financial gains.”
He also mentioned that May’s petition brought up a supposed traditional marriage event between Yul and Judy on April 24, 2022, in Anambra State.
However, Yul refuted the accusation and blamed a blog for spreading misinformation for monetary gain.
