Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Iwobi has returned to Instagram after deleting all his posts.

The decision to delete his account came after he faced criticism following the team’s loss to Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations final.

The Fulham midfielder was cyberbullied by Nigerians who were unhappy with his performance in the midfield during the game, leading to a lot of threats and insults being directed at him on his Instagram account.

As a response, the 27-year-old decided to remove over a hundred posts from his profile.

However, on Saturday night, the football star shared a video on his account.

In the video, Alex Iwobi teased viewers with a preview of an unreleased rap song.

In the snippet, there were clips of his football games and more, showcasing his self-confidence and disregard for those who doubted him.

Support came from the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Enoh, who encouraged Iwobi to stay strong after facing criticism from fans following Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in the final.

Additionally, his uncle, Austin Jay Jay Okocha, and football star Ahmed Musa, along with others, supported Alex Iwobi and urged his critics to back off.
