Vice President Kashim Shettima has described Akeredolu as an exceptional individual.
The former Borno State governor and senator made the statement on Friday during the funeral service for the late Governor of Ondo State at St. Andrews Church in Owo.
He said, “Akeredolu is a remarkable soul and a dedicated individual who cared deeply about the welfare of his people.
”A man whose legacy is edged in the battles he fought on behalf of the people, leaving an indelible footprint on the shores of our shared history.
”There was no point in life where his voice shook in telling his truth,” he said.
The Vice President, along with other dignitaries, paid their final respects and said goodbye to the late Governor Akeredolu. Governor Akeredolu passed away at the age of 67 after a long battle with illness.
