President Bola Tinubu has left the capital of Nigeria, Abuja, to participate in the final event of a week-long celebration marking the 60th anniversary of the Nigerian Defence Academy in Kaduna.
According to a statement from the State House media office on Saturday morning, it was announced that President Bola Tinubu is traveling to Kaduna to attend the NDA Anniversary.
On February 5, the Academy revealed a special emblem and crest to commemorate its 60 years of existence. This was part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, which began three days earlier at the NDA Auditorium in Afaka.
In attendance were individuals who had completed their education at the Nigerian Defense Academy, former leaders of the Academy, current and retired military personnel, members of various security and paramilitary organizations, as well as representatives from different institutions. Among them was the esteemed Major General Rabiu Aliyu (retd.), who is a distinguished member of the pioneering Regular Course 1 of 1964.
Tinubu is scheduled to return to Abuja on the same day, after which he will travel to Abidjan, the capital of Ivory Coast, to witness the final match between Nigeria and the host country, Côte d’Ivoire, at the AFCON tournament.
