Mikel Arteta’s team returned to winning form in the Premier League by defeating Crystal Palace with a resounding 5-0 victory, propelling them to third place in the standings.

The win put an end to Arsenal’s four-game winless streak across all competitions.

The scoring began with Gabriel Magalhaes, who headed the ball into the net from a corner taken by Declan Rice. Later in the first half, Gabriel appeared to score his second goal of the game, but it was ultimately ruled as an own goal after the ball deflected off Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson.

In the second half, Leandro Trossard extended Arsenal’s lead by scoring a third goal. This came as a result of a swift counter-attack, with Gabriel Jesus providing the assist to Trossard.

Gabriel Martinelli added the finishing touch to a great afternoon for Arsenal. He came off the bench and scored two goals in stoppage time, helping Mikel Arteta’s team secure a third-place position in the Premier League. They are now just two points behind the league leader, Liverpool, although Arsenal has played one more game.
