The Rivers State House of Assembly has reevaluated and approved all nine former commissioners who resigned from Governor Siminalayi Fubara‘s cabinet during the political crisis in the state.

Last year, in November, the commissioners submitted their resignation letters due to the conflict between Fubara and his predecessor, former Governor Nyesom Wike, who is now the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

However, a few days ago, Fubara resubmitted the names of the nine nominees to the State House of Assembly for approval.

The former commissioners were asked to leave the chamber after being cleared during the session on Wednesday.
