Manchester United Give Update On Lindelof’s Injury

Published:

Manchester United defender Victor Lindelof, who had successful surgery to address a minor groin issue, is anticipated to miss just over a month of play.

The Sweden international was seen in training earlier this week, but he was replaced during the team’s 2-1 victory over Chelsea in early December.

The 29-year-old, however, needed surgery, manager Erik ten Hag disclosed at a pre-game news conference prior to our Premier League match against West Ham United tomorrow (Saturday, December 23, 12:30 GMT).

Lindelof is probably going to miss our two remaining Premier League games in 2023, against Nottingham Forest (30 December) and Aston Villa (26 December), in addition to the game against David Moyes’ Hammers.

According to the timetable provided by the medical staff, our number two is probably going to miss the Emirates FA Cup third-round match against Wigan Athletic on January 8 as well as the league matchup with Tottenham Hotspur on January 14.

More encouragingly, Christian Eriksen is anticipated to be included in the West Ham matchday roster, and Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire, two of Lindelof’s defensive teammates, are expected to make their comebacks in mid-January.
