MOBO Awards 2024: Wizkid, Burna Boy, Davido Headline Best African Music Act Category

Nigerian artists Wizkid, Davido, Burna Boy, Asake, Rema, Ayra Starr, and Adekunle Gold have clinched nominations for the coveted Best African Music Act at the highly anticipated 2024 MOBO Awards. 

Joining the lineup are South African duo Tyla and Uncle Waffles, along with Cameroon’s Libianca, making it a diverse and competitive category.

A notable departure from the past is evident, with no Nigerian artist securing a nomination in the Best International Act category for the first time since 2017. This international category boasts heavyweight nominees including Drake, Nicki Minaj, Sexxy Red, Ice Spice, Doja Cat, Latto, SZA, and others.

The Best Gospel Act category sees Nigerian gospel sensation Limoblaze vying for the accolade alongside strong contenders Annatoria, Guvna B, Triple O, and others.

In the realm of production excellence, Nigerian talent P2J has earned a nomination in the Best Producer category, facing formidable competition from Steel Banglez, Kyle Evans, M1onTheBeat, and more.
