At least 10 corpses have since been found after unidentified gunmen assaulted Unguwar Wakili in Kaduna State’s Zango Kataf local government area.

According to a statement made by Yabo Chris Ephraim, Special Assistant (Media) to the executive chairman of the Zangon Kataf local government council of the State, concerned authorities have consequently imposed a 24-hour curfew with immediate effect on Ungwan Juju, Mabuhu, Ungwan Wakili, and Zangon Urban.

The statement continued by saying that the curfew was imposed, among other precautions, to prevent a potential breakdown in law and order and to give Nigerian Army soldiers time to restore peace to the area.

At the time this report was filed, DSP Muhammad Jalige, the spokesperson for the Kaduna State Police Command, could not be reached for comment.
