President Bola Tinubu left Nigeria for Doha, Qatar, on a state visit on Thursday.

Allub reports that President Tinubu departed Nigeria through the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos shortly after commissioning the first phase of the Lagos Red Rail Project.

President Tinubu’s two-day official visit to Qatar is to enhance cooperation between the two nations in areas such as security, cultural exchange, and economic development, following an invitation by His Highness, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.

Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu, released the information in a statement to journalists on Wednesday night.

During the visit, Tinubu will witness the signing of agreements aimed at boosting Nigeria’s real sector and creating valuable investments in trade, education, culture, solid minerals, digital economy, agriculture, gas, and cooperation on counter-terrorism.

The President will attend a business and investment forum that will unite high-level executives from Nigeria and Qatar’s private and public sectors. The goal is to enhance opportunities for growth and development that benefit both countries.

Senior government officials will accompany the President on the trip to sign agreements.
