Social Investment: Minister Reveals Plans For Return Of NSIPA Program

Published:

The Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, has said that a Committee appointed by the President has submitted a report to review the National Social Investment Programme’s operational mechanism.

Idris made these remarks in Kaduna on Saturday during an appearance on the popular Hausa audience participatory programme “Hannu Da Yawa” on Radio Nigeria Kaduna.

According to him, the review will allow the programmes to resume, including providing N25,000 Conditional Cash Transfers to 15 million poor and vulnerable households for three months, along with other interventions.

The National Social Investment Programs (NSIP) include the N-Power program, GEEP, CCT, and NHGSFP. These programs have been suspended due to an ongoing investigation into officials misusing funds.
