Former Senator Shehu Sani, who represented Kaduna Central, mentioned that Kano and Jigawa states are now safe from terrorist attacks.
Allub Times reports that there have been no recent incidents of banditry or terrorist attacks in these states. In a tweet on Monday, the former lawmaker highlighted that past administrations in both states prioritised security measures.
He also praised the residents of Kano and Jigawa for being vigilant and quick to respond to any potential threats.
“The two states in the north-west of Nigeria that have become protected or insulated from terrorists and bandits attacks are Kano and Jigawa States.
“The basic reasons for these are the security investments made by their former and present Governments and the proactive and prompt response of the residents in those states to any blink of suspicious security threats or movements,” he said.
It is worth noting that, in contrast, Kaduna State recently experienced a tragic incident where over 280 students were kidnapped by bandits.
