Afrobeat artist Seun Kuti has shared his own perspective on Christians in Nigeria and their pursuit of wealth.

He made this revelation on the popular podcast ‘Spill with Phyna,’ and Seun delved into his concerns regarding Nigerian Christians.

Seun noted that a significant number of individuals blindly follow their religious leaders, overlooking their evident flaws due to a lack of sufficient knowledge of the Bible.

Seun emphasized that many no longer adhere to the gospel’s teachings, and their primary expectation from Christianity is to amass wealth.

He expressed the belief that even if Jesus were to return, many Christians would criticize him and call for his demise.

In Seun’s view, there are only two motivations for practicing Christianity in Nigeria: either to accumulate wealth or to aspire to meet Jesus in heaven.
