Napoli’s interim coach, Francesco Calzona, has said that Victor Osimhen is close to returning to his top form.
Osimhen played in Napoli’s 2-1 win against Juventus on Sunday. Although he missed a penalty, Giancomo Raspadori scored the rebound.
Osimhen had scored five goals in three games prior to facing Juventus. Calzona believes Osimhen is improving.
“Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen are two fundamental players for this team. They both had difficult moments this season, but are now almost back to their usual levels.”
So far this season, Osimhen has scored 11 goals in 16 Serie A matches for Napoli.
