Nuno Espirito Santo, the coach of Nottingham Forest, has expressed that Ola Aina is feeling disappointed about the Super Eagles’ loss in the 2023 AFCON final against Ivory Coast last Sunday.
Santo also mentioned that Aina will have another opportunity to win the AFCON in the future.
During a pre-match press conference before Nottingham Forest’s Premier League match against West Ham United this weekend, Santo stated, “We previously mentioned that it was a final.”
“Ibrahim, Boly and Serge we have to congratulate them but same time Ola for sure is disappointed but for sure he will have another chance in the future.”
It should be noted that Aina faced criticism for his performance in an individual battle against Ivory Coast’s Simon Adingra during the AFCON final. The final ended with a 2-1 victory for Ivory Coast.
