Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the banned Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), who is facing terrorism charges from the Federal Government, has hired new lawyers to defend him.
Allub Times reports that Kanu’s trial is scheduled to continue at the Federal High Court in Abuja today, with operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) already present in the court.
Reports indicate that a new legal team, led by Alloy Ejimakor, will now represent Kanu in the seven-count charges against him, replacing the previous team led by Chief Mike Ozekhome SAN and Ifeanyi Ejiofor.
The reason for the change in legal representation has not been disclosed.
Despite this change, the court is already filled with lawyers and supporters of Kanu, who is known for his involvement in the Biafra movement.
